The roots of dubstep in the Atlanta area are stronger than ever, highlighted by dedicated fans and committed local talent. One artist who has solidified his presence over the years is Athens, GA-based DJ Variant. 
His music origins are based in the punch of drum and bass. As time passed, his natural sound continued to gravitate towards the dark and the melodic.  With a signature sound characterized by deeper bass frequencies, his diverse catalogue of original production has aligned him with leading dubstep artists of today. Over the years, he has shared stages with legendary artists such as Bloodline, Sleeper, and N-Type, The Widdler, and Pushloop. 
Gaining releases and features with innovative industry leaders  Submission, Sub FM, Dank and Dirty Dubz, Gradient Audio, and The Widdfam, his unique style has earned DJ Variant his rightful place among some of the Southeast's most dynamic artists.
